What do we offer?
The Software team within our Hardware department is growing and looking for an additional Software Engineer! CellaVision develops advanced medical equipment with high requirements on reliability, accuracy, image quality, and throughput.
As a member of the Software team in the Hardware department, you will develop and maintain the embedded software and PC software for the analyzers and accessories. The analyzers are equipped with high resolution optics, precision mechanics and specialized image processing. The Hardware department consists of mechanical, software and electronics engineers, each contributing with their specific knowledge and cooperate in solving interdisciplinary problems and turning ideas into products. You will participate in the whole development process of medical devices while working in an international environment where quality, development, and innovation are constantly in focus.
Key tasks as a Senior Software Engineer
Develop and maintain our software, both in an embedded and application environment.
Develop and maintain PC software for controlling the embedded systems.
Decide and develop the Software Architecture or our applications, taking the helicopter perspective understanding how all of the individual pieces fit together into a bigger picture.
Participate in the design of systems using a combination of PC software, embedded software, electronics, mechanics, and optics.
Review designs, reports, and source code contributions from colleagues.
Participated in testing and the designing of tests for individual components and the fully assembled product.
Share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues.

To be successful in the role you need to have
M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent.
5-7 years of experience as a C++ or C# developer
Very strong programming skills, especially in modern C++.
You have an ability to understand and design the architecture of large software systems.
Interest in acquiring new skills and programming languages as the need arises and a curious attitude.
You have a solid sense of responsibility. You take initiatives and come up with new proposals for working methods.
Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
It is also meritorious if you already have
Experience with the development and maintenance of embedded Linux systems.
Experience and interest in working with Windows PC systems.
Knowledge in C# or VHDL/Verilog.
