How will you contribute?

As an Senior IT Specialist, your primary objective is to drive the establishment, development, and ongoing maturation of our core IT infrastructure. This role demands a hands-on approach to ensure our systems are robust and secure.

This role requires broad technical competence – you understand systems at a high level and can connect the dots between hardware, software, and organizational requirements to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, and managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Overseeing and optimizing virtualization environments.
• Developing and maintaining robust storage solutions.
• Implementing and managing comprehensive backup and disaster recovery systems.
• Configuring, troubleshooting, and securing networking components.
• Applying and enforcing good security practices across all infrastructure layers.
• Adhering to and implementing the ITIL framework, with a particular emphasis on being experienced in change management processes.
• You will also help with 2nd level support touching areas such as Windows/Linux environments, backups, network infrastructure, different software packages and security devices.

About You / Your Skills & Experience

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive individual who thrives in building resilient and secure IT environments.

Higher vocational education aimed towards IT management/IT security.

You should possess

• Extensive experience with enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Proven expertise in virtualization, storage and backup.
• Strong practical competency with both Linux and Windows server operating systems.
• A demonstrated history of implementing and maintaining good security practices.
• Familiarity with the ITIL framework, and specifically having experience with change management.
• You have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Highly Valued

• While not a strict requirement, 10+ years of experience is an advantage for this senior-level position.
• Experience with networking and firewalls.
• Familiarity with providing SaaS cloud services.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Some level of managerial experience or product ownership.
