Market Support Manager Northeast U.S.

CellaVision is strengthening the U.S sales team with a Market Support Manager located in the Northeast e.g., Chicago, Boston, New York or Washington.
We are looking for a key player to further develop the CellaVision concept in United States. The role of the Market Support Manager is extremely important and integral to CellaVision’s success in the U.S. market. The overall responsibility is to work with the ambitious task of explaining the value and benefits of using digital microscopy to end customers and to CellaVision’s distribution partners.
The Market Support Manager will be an active partner working in close collaboration with CellaVision’s distribution partners to increase sales and secure the growth in Americas. The role requires extensive contact with CellaVision’s distribution partners, end customers, local decision makers and key opinion leaders on a regular basis.
This is a full-time position based in Northeast e.g., Chicago, Boston, New York or Washington with start date as soon as possible. The Market Support Manager operates out of a home office, and travel is a major part of the job. You will report to the Director Americas based in the U.S and be an essential part of the Global Sales team consisting of 32 people located in 17 countries.
Responsibilities
- Working with representatives from CellaVision’s distribution partners in presenting CellaVision concept to customers.
- Support end-customer evaluations as requested.
- Support distributors for application and service training at sites that purchased CellaVision’s instruments.
- Plan and organize educational seminars together with CellaVision’s distribution partners.
- Track and report on all distributors’ sales activities in the country.
- Track and report on all system installations and customer satisfaction.
- Help distributors in current business regarding tender requirements.
- Train distributor sales and applications reps on all CellaVision products.
- Staff CellaVision or distributor booth at exhibitions.
- Identify and establish relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Represent the company at conferences and trade shows.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in positions in sales, or market and application support working in close collaboration with distribution partners or end customers.
- Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare market and to ensure/discover business opportunities.
- Willingness to spend most of the time in the field and away from your colleagues, developing close relationships with partners and end customers.
- Proven teamwork and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office environment.
- Valid Driver’s license for a car.
Nice to have
- Good knowledge in hematology is considered an advantage.
- BS/M BA in life science or medtech (MBA, MSc. or Ph.D.) is desirable.
